GoogleOne of the greatest adventures of my professional life.
Myself and a small crew traveled to Australia and set out into actually uncharted parts of the Great Barrier Reef.
We were following a marine biologist named Johnny Gaskell who had identified what he believed were five "blue holes"
These underwater sink holes are known to be biodiversity hotspots by providing deep, cool water in otherwise shallow coral reefs.
It took two days of sailing to get there, navigating narrow channels and, timing the tides just right in order to cross shallow reefs.
From the boat there was almost nothing to see from the surface, you'd never know what was right underneath you.
We captured some of the most biologically dense environments on the planet that had never previously been documented.
The final film, "Blue Holes" debuted on Earth Day 2021.
